Most MMP's are secreted as inactive proproteins which are activated when cleaved by extracellular proteinases. The enzyme encoded by this gene degrades proteoglycans and fibronectin. The tissue section was blocked with 10% goat serum. The tissue section was then staind with ARG59021 anti-MMP10 antibody at 1 μg/ml, overnight at 4°C.
